The agreement, in plain language.
Effective July 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Did You Dream? iOS application and the didyoudream.com website. By using either, you agree to them.
What Did You Dream? is, and is not
Did You Dream? is an educational companion for personal reflection. It is not therapy, medical care, or a substitute for professional mental health treatment. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. The app's AI conversations are generated by a language model guided by a framework designed with a licensed psychotherapist; they are not communications from a therapist, and no therapeutic relationship is created by using the app.
If you are in crisis or concerned about your mental health, contact a qualified professional or a crisis service. In the US, call or text 988. The app and the support page list additional resources.
Your content
Your dreams and journal entries are yours. We claim no ownership of anything you write or record in the app. As described in the privacy policy, your content is processed transiently to provide AI features and is not stored on our servers.
Subscriptions
- Dream Plus is offered as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual) purchased through your Apple Account.
- Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple Account subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies.
- The free tier's limits, and Plus features and pricing, may change; active subscriptions keep what they paid for through the end of their period.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to abuse, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its services; do not use the AI features to generate content that is unlawful or harmful to others; do not resell or redistribute the service. We may limit or suspend service to protect it and its users.
Intellectual property
The app, its design, its content, and the Did You Dream? name and mark are the property of their owner. The symbol dictionary's artwork is drawn from public domain collections and remains in the public domain.
AI-generated content
AI responses are generated automatically and can be imperfect, incomplete, or wrong. They reflect a reflective framework, not facts about you. Use your own judgment, and treat the app's questions and reflections as invitations to think, never as instructions or clinical conclusions.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The app and website are provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and continued use constitutes acceptance. You may stop using the service at any time; deleting the app ends the agreement other than terms that by nature survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
